Last Tuesday, 30th of December, together with my sisters we went to Rizal Park to witness the ceremony led by our President Aquino to commemorate the 118th anniversary of our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal’s execution by firing squad during the Spanish regime.
It was still dark when we got there though the ceremony will start at 7am.
It was my first time to witness such event and I feel proud. 🙂
I also got to see the Philippines’ President and Vice President.
Yesterday I felt the need to log out my accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram already and promised myself not to log in for some time. Online hiatus. I guess this is a good way to make as my New Year’s resolution: to tone down my Social Networking Sites usage.
I can’t seem to control myself anymore from checking my notifications every minute especially on my Instagram. Yeah, I think I was getting addicted already with the SNS that I had to do something before it gets worse.
With the SNS, my daily chores are affected. I’m getting lazy. I’ve become a procrastinator when it comes to my school works that will be due next year or to review for exams. And that’s not a good thing, I know.
I don’t know if until when I’ll be out of SNS. Maybe until an emergency arises (and what emergency would that be? I don’t know. As if there is anyway.) I only kept my WordPress account, Kik account since it’s not everyday that I get to talk with my friend anyway, and SnapChat because I don’t find it addictive.
I know it’s easy as counting 1-2-3 to log in again since I did not uninstall the applications but I’m very willing to keep my promise for some time. 😁
8th of February. I’m a 100% fangirl when it comes to Island Media Asia boys. Hihi. 😜 It was a Saturday when IMA had a mall show at SM Baliwag. Of course, we were there to support them.
The highlights of the day for me are:
A. At the bus going to SM Baliwag. We, the fans, rode the bus going to the mall with IMA! (I’m smiling like an idiot while writing this. I can still remember how kilig (it’s like getting butterflies in your stomach. Lol) I got. Haha!) I think it was a 1 and a half hour ride and to keep us entertained, they made jokes, had a question & answer and had photo op!
B. Matthew gave me a Sprinto sunglasses, saying that it’s his way of thanking me for taking the effort of making a scrapbook for IMA. Sprinto is one of the brands they’re promoting.
C. I’ve actually met the other members of IMA before at two of their mall tours except Matthew and Brian. So, when I met Brian and I hugged him, he said “Hey Glaiza! Nice to meet you!:)” ❤❤ I was like “OMG! HE KNEW ME!!!😍😍”
D. (This is still about Brian. Hihi!) So, when they’re already at the stage, they wanted to play Paper Dance with their fans and I was partnered with Brian. Their partners (the fans) are asked to introduce their selves first to the audience before the game started. When it was my turn, Brian did the introduction for me! He said my name to the audience and said that he knows me because I’m one of their long-time and avid supporters. I was in cloud nine! Haha! 😍
15th of February. Another unforgettable day with IMA!! :D✌ (I can’t stop smiling as I’m writing here. 😁😁) They had another mall show at Gateway and I brought my sister and her two students (whom I’m friends ❤). Before they went on stage, I spotted Brian and called him. He was so nice to come and gave me a hug! See? We’re just like close friends. Haha! There was another game where I partnered with Brian, we got lost but at least I had fun. Hihi. 😀
19th of February. After days of my professor not talking to me, we’re finally okay again. 🙂 I said sorry and he said that he expects so much from me that he got disappointed when I did not do my report. In the end of the semester he still gave me a 1.25 grade.
21th of February. Through Facebook I found out that my ex-boyfriend will be married to his ex-girlfriend. When I first found out about it, I was in mixed emotion; sad, jealous, hurt, happy that he moved on and etc i don’t know. 😀 As of know, I’m fine with it and I haven’t seen him again since then.
I wanted to include March 2014 here but this is already a long post so I’ll put March on to my next post instead. 🙂 Have a great day!! Thank you for reading. 🙂
Few days left before we’ll say goodbye to December and to 2014! I’m 70% excited. And 30% not because first week of January means 2 presentations and exams! 😜 but whatever! I will do it so I could graduate college on April 2015. 😍
Anyway, as for the title of this post, yes I’ll share to you all the happenings last January 2014, thanks to the help of my planner. 😜
1st of January. With my sisters, niece and nephew, we went to SM Mall of Asia to eat, have fun and watch fireworks!
2nd of January. I went to Bonifacio Global Center to get this planner from TV5 which I won from their Twitter contest. 🙂 BGC is a very nice place!
I then went to SM Mall of Asia to watch the movie Kimmy Dora alone. It’s not my first time to watch a movie in a cinema alone! Haha. Do you do it, too? 😀
3rd of January. Past 12am, my mother was rushed to the hospital because she had a high fever and she can’t breathe well. She was discharged around 8am. Thank God!
4th of January. I went to SM Mall of Asia and watched 2 movies. Guess what. Yes, I’m all alone again. Haha! I watched 10,000 Hours and My Little Bossings. Here in the Philippines, starting December 25th, we have this Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines (MMFF-P) is an annual film festival held in Manila . The festival, which runs from the 25th of December to the first week of January in the following year, focuses on locally produced films.
During the course of the festival, no foreign movies are shown across the Philippines (except in 3D theaters and IMAX theaters).
And 10,000 Hours was my favorite film among the MMFF entries.
5th of January. I just stayed in our house all day. Watched a number of videos on YouTube.
6th of January. First day of class for 2014 but we did not have a regular class yet so Alona and I went to SM MOA and watched Pagpag. It was a great horror movie!
“The film revolves around the traditional Filipino belief that one should never go home directly after visiting a wake since it risks bringing evil spirits or the deceased to one’s home. One should first shake off (in Filipino, pagpág ) whatever curse there may be to avoid being trailed by the soul of the dead.”
Quoted from Wikipedia.
7th of January. Alona and I went to Summit Media’s office to claim my another BDJ planner and I gave it to my sister since I already have my own BDJ. Summit Media is the leading consumer magazine publisher here in the Philippines and I used to (and still do) want to work at their office. ❤
I’m seriously starting to love the color mint green. 😍
I wore this yesterday to church at Folk Arts Theater.
Then we went to SM Mall of Asia to eat lunch and Christmas shop. I saw a colored mint green sweater and I fell in love at first sight. Haha! But I didn’t buy it. It was a little pricey. 😜
Last night, we watched 3 Idiots again. It was really a fun and beautiful movie. Have you watched it before? 🙂 it’s an Indian comedy-drama movie, by the way. I just saw on YouTube that there’s a 3 Idiots Full Movie and it has an English translation. 🙂 Enjoy!
I’ve received nominations again; weight2lose2013 for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award and milliethom for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thank you!! ^____^
