Three Day Quote Challenge II: Day 2

Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil – It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good – It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Choose to Bloom

I believe I’m at the stage of my life where I’m still blooming. I’m in my early 20’s yet I know I’ve yet to go through some changes and experiences that would develop me fully into someone I’d meant to become. Like these flowers, I hope I’d be that person also who would give smile to people, help them to be happy, make their day brighter and encourage people to grow and bloom in their own way.Read More »

Three Day Quote Challenge II: Day 1

Nominated by Charm  and Ann to do the three days quote challenge. Thank you, ladies! 🙂 I’ve done this challenge before but I’d like to participate again to share some of my favorite quotes I just recently read.

For today’s quote:

“Are you creating more pleasurable interactions in your marriage or are you making it painful or unpleasant for your spouse? If your spouse treats you with kindness, gentleness, patience and self-control, it’s easy for you to respond kindly. If you are treated badly, with anger, impatience, etc., it’s difficult to be nice in return. Focus on how you can be a blessing to your spouse and, in turn, you will be blessed and so will your marriage.” – Mack HarRead More »

How did you spend Valentine’s Day? However you spent it, I hope you had fun. smile emoticon Me? I spent the day trekking. It was a special day for me because for the first time I saw a legit waterfall. Also, along with my three sisters, we travelled with strangers. People we only met on Facebook through the Facebook group, Your Travel Buddies.

The waterfalls were in Laguna and we started our quest at 3:00 AM. We were on the road for more or less two hours. We had breakfast first and then we started to trek. It was easy at first, but the trail became difficult and steep as minutes passed by and after an hour, we reached Hulugan Falls. It’s majestic! First waterfall I’ve seen and there were other people swimming too. According to our tour guide, it was only discovered last October 2015 and after it was featured to two local tv shows, people came to see it.Read More »

How To Make Origami Heart

Happy Valentine’s! Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner, I thought of wanting to learn this origami. Yes! It’s my first time to do this and it was easy and fun! After memorizing the steps, I taught my niece how to do it, too. Another bonding moment for the two of us. 😉 I’m her favorite aunt. Haha! (Says who?)Read More »

A Paradise in Mendez, Cavite

The nature lover in me loved the 4-hour stay we had to explore this 10-hectare paradise in Mendez, Cavite. So many flowers and trees and vegetables everywhere! (There were animals too but I enjoyed the flowers more. :D)

There were fields of pineapples, other fruits and vegetables that my niece was so eager to learn about, butterfly garden, hydrangea (my favorite flower) in various colors, sunflowers, camel, a five legged cow, sheeps, you get to see the busy bees making honey and a lot more attractions!Read More »
