For the month of June, I was able to read these four novels;
1. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes – you may read my thoughts about this book here
2. Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks – A quick read with just over 200+ pages and one can possibly finish reading it in one sitting. Aside from the tragic love story, which is a typical N. S. novel, this book wants to pass on encouragement to people who undergo grief. Life must go on, as what they said, especially when you’re a parent and still have a small child that needs you.
3. This Is Where The World Ends by Amy Zhang – To be honest, I found this book boring at first. I’m glad I finished it, though, because it’s a beautiful story about friendship and also bullying awareness. We all know bully could lower a child’s self-esteem as they don’t know how to handle it very well. Amy Zhang’s style of writing here is something too.
4. After You by Jojo Moyes – This is beautiful! I’m really happy Jojo Moyes wrote this sequel of Me Before You as I really wanted to know what will happen next to Louisa Clark. So many unexpected turn of events and Moyes once again succeed in making me cry. A hard to put down novel.
I’m planning to read other books of Jojo Moyes, she’s my #1 author right now. β€
If you all are wanting to read, I recommend all the books listed above and by the way, I was able to watch the movie Me Before You already. I can only speak for myself but I wasn’t moved that much with the movie. Maybe because I already expected things to turn out? I still prefer the book, though. π
What book are you currently reading?
I just finished reading STARRY NIGHT by Debbie Macomber. I’ve read other stories and books by her. I’ve been getting my books either at the library or local free book boxes where you can leave a book and pick up another. I’ve mostly been reading romances….some funny, some historical set in other times, some involve mysteries.

If only the public library is near at our house, I’d love to borrow books, too. I like those book themes you mentioned. π

I especially love books where the author writes several centered around the same town and characters so you can get to know them all over time.
