JUNE 2018 RECAP

https://glimmerofhappiness.wordpress.com/2018/08/05/july-2018-recap-highlights-lessons-vlog/I’m so happy June come to an end! Six months to go ’til December. I’ve never been this excited for December before and you’ll know why soon.

June was pretty awesome with all these highlights :

🌸 Dawn, our school’s registrar, gave birth. Since she’s on maternity leave for two months, I took over some of her tasks. It was okay because I got to experience what it’s like to be a registrar and dealing with the students’ document needs. It was a challenge to be the senior high school’s admin and registrar at the same time but I’m managing.

🌸 I attended Bloggers United. It’s a fun event where bloggers sell their preloved stuff (or even new ones), meet and greet, network with brands and meet fellow friends who are into blogging. It’s just a shame, though, that we weren’t able to see our favorite bloggers. Also, this has been the 5th or 6th BU I attended.

🌸 I became one of Althea‘s ambassadresses. I’m so excited! This has been a longtime dream. So watch out for all Korean beauty products posts. ₱200 off on your first order ~

🌸 Tina and I met our online friend, Rose. One of the reasons why I love social media is that we get to be friends with people online and has the possibility of meeting them. We had half a day of pure fun and chikas. We watched a movie in 3D and had korean BBQ for dinner.

🌸 I had my first giveaway on my blog. All thanks to James Riddett, one of the authors of Happy Guide book, for the trust.

🌸 I read four books for this month. It’s amazing for me because I get to continue reaching my Goodreads Reading Challenge. As some of you may not know, I was on a reading slump last February until May. I love reading so being back to it again makes me happy. Let’s be friends on Goodreads. Click here.

🌸 I ended June by attending an event, Wedding of the Century Bridal Fair, where I got to see the newest collections of some of the well-known wedding gown designers here in the Philippines. I’ll blog about it soon.

BOOKS:

📚 A List of Cages by Robin Roe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 Happy Guide: 6 Simple Lifestyle Changes for Health and Happiness by Michael Kinnaird ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📚 Eliza And Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

LESSONS LEARNED:

💡 I learnt to say No. It was hard for me to do this before because I’m a people pleaser but I’m glad there were instances last month were I was able to decline requests. I did it for my own sanity and I thought some people are are taking advantage of my kindness (lol).

💡 Change is good too, I wouldn’t of known it if I didn’t try it. I wasn’t talking about earth shattering change here. 😂 It’s just we revamped our office after a long time and the new setup is so much better than before.

💡 Pride will not take you anywhere good. When arguing with someone, especially your loved one or family, be humble.

How did your month go? Share them below, I’d love to read them. 🙂

  4. Seems like you had a pretty busy June! But it also seemed very exciting. It’s good to have some self reflection sometimes. I enjoyed reading this post and I can’t wait to read more.
My June was pretty boring, as I studied almost all of the time, because I had exams.
