How annoying is it to have itchy face due to dryness, clogged pores, whiteheads and a few pimples here and there? It’s uncomfortable and even if as much as I want to scratch my face because it might just get worse, sometimes, though, I can’t help it. A visit to a skincare clinic is a must. Also, having rough skin isn’t a good canvass to have makeup on.
On my second visit at Substance: Laser & Skincare, I was recommended to have the Jet Peel Facial Treatment with Extraction. I knew extraction to clean my clogged pores would hurt (at least for me) but I also knew I needed it as I haven’t done it in a long time now, a year even. However, Jet Peel Facial is something I hoped never ended because it’s so relaxing!
To prepare my face for the Jet Peel Facial, Princess (the aesthetician), cleaned my face with a facial wash. I always enjoy this process and I like how she used gloves on her hands. She then started with the Jet Peel Facial treatment. This treatment infuses saline and oxygen to the skin using the machine that’s like a mini pressure wash leaving the skin hydrated and feeling refreshed. It provides cleansing, massage effect and gentle peeling of the skin surface.
This treatment can treat age spots, sun-damaged skin and acne scars among others. It can provide skin smoothing and polishing as well.
Benefits of the Jet Peel are the following:
- Superficial facial peeling
- Ideal for various skin types
- Leaves no dead or burned skin
- Improves perioral wrinkles
- Only natural components
Next was the extraction of my clogged pores. Under the lamp with a bright light, Princess started the extractions. I like how she started at my forehead and moving down to my jaw. It was painful for me and she had dried my eyes a few times, too, as my tears were streaming down my face.
I don’t know how many minutes it has been but I was relieved it has ended. Princess showed me all the dirt she got from my face and I cringed but good thing I was able to get rid of them. She then applied an antibiotic cream on my face to prevent infection and inflammation and a sunscreen. I was then advised to not wash my face for 24 hours.
If I were to ask if I’ll undergo this treatment again, I’d definitely say yes. I always wanted to achieve smooth and healthy looking skin anyway.
