The Happy List // January 2017

Happy February to you all!
The month that I’ve been waiting for is finally here! Why? It’s because I’ll be withΒ AndyΒ again. For those who do not know, I’m in a long distance relationship. Nine months ago, we met for the first time in Taiwan and we had an amazing 14 days together. This February, he’ll visit me here in the Philippines and I’m so excited! ❀

Anyway, this January, I had a lot of fun memories – big and small. I’m so glad January flew by smoothly leaving me things to be happy and thankful about.Read More »

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there! πŸ™‚

My father passed away nine years ago already but there were memories I still remember about him and some of them are:
1. He would always bake cakes for our birthday and Christmas party at school.
2. He brought home our first ever dog pet at home and we named him Bambi. Bambi lived with us for 8 years. *remembering Bambi makes me sad :'(*
3. During my Kinder graduation, he should be the one to go up the stage with me but he was too happy that he cried so my Mama did it instead.
4. He once baked 12 layers of cake for a wedding.
5. He would always defend me from my mother when she’s mad at me.
6. Seeing him on his hospital bed, trying to talk to us but we couldn’t understand a thing and we saw a tear escaped his eye.
7.

I can’t continue this 😦 this is too sad. I miss you Papa sooooo much. πŸ˜₯ thanks for the happy memories.

February 2014 happenings

For the continuation of sharing my 2014 memories… read the first part here (January 2014 happenings).

8th of February. I’m a 100% fangirl when it comes to Island Media Asia boys. Hihi. 😜 It was a Saturday when IMA had a mall show at SM Baliwag. Of course, we were there to support them.
The highlights of the day for me are:
A. At the bus going to SM Baliwag. We, the fans, rode the bus going to the mall with IMA! (I’m smiling like an idiot while writing this. I can still remember how kilig (it’s like getting butterflies in your stomach. Lol) I got. Haha!) I think it was a 1 and a half hour ride and to keep us entertained, they made jokes, had a question & answer and had photo op!

B. Matthew gave me a Sprinto sunglasses, saying that it’s his way of thanking me for taking the effort of making a scrapbook for IMA. Sprinto is one of the brands they’re promoting.

He's tall! So he bent his knees to match my height. :p

C. I’ve actually met the other members of IMA before at two of their mall tours except Matthew and Brian. So, when I met Brian and I hugged him, he said “Hey Glaiza! Nice to meet you!:)” ❀❀ I was like “OMG! HE KNEW ME!!!😍😍”
D. (This is still about Brian. Hihi!) So, when they’re already at the stage, they wanted to play Paper Dance with their fans and I was partnered with Brian. Their partners (the fans) are asked to introduce their selves first to the audience before the game started. When it was my turn, Brian did the introduction for me! He said my name to the audience and said that he knows me because I’m one of their long-time and avid supporters. I was in cloud nine! Haha! 😍

Here’s a video of the Paper Dance game.. Thanks to Jaime! πŸ˜‰

15th of February. Another unforgettable day with IMA!! :D✌ (I can’t stop smiling as I’m writing here. 😁😁) They had another mall show at Gateway and I brought my sister and her two students (whom I’m friends ❀). Before they went on stage, I spotted Brian and called him. He was so nice to come and gave me a hug! See? We’re just like close friends. Haha! There was another game where I partnered with Brian, we got lost but at least I had fun. Hihi. πŸ˜€

19th of February. After days of my professor not talking to me, we’re finally okay again. πŸ™‚ I said sorry and he said that he expects so much from me that he got disappointed when I did not do my report. In the end of the semester he still gave me a 1.25 grade.

21th of February. Through Facebook I found out that my ex-boyfriend will be married to his ex-girlfriend. When I first found out about it, I was in mixed emotion; sad, jealous, hurt, happy that he moved on and etc i don’t know. πŸ˜€ As of know, I’m fine with it and I haven’t seen him again since then.

I wanted to include March 2014 here but this is already a long post so I’ll put March on to my next post instead. πŸ™‚ Have a great day!! Thank you for reading.Β  πŸ™‚

The 6-year old me | Kindergarten

image

I was nostalgic when I saw this. Thanks to April for uploading this on Facebook and tagging us.
As of writing, there are already 100+ comments from me and my Kindergarten classmates, reminiscing the past. That photo was taken during our graduation. I was the valedictorian. πŸ˜€

That’s me right there, not looking at the camera. Maybe because I noticed I’m the only one who’s not holding our diploma.Β  πŸ˜€

It was really nice to catch up with my Kindergarten classmates. Some already have jobs and are in different parts of Philippines while most of them, though, are still in Iloilo (where we grew up).

I really miss them. I hope there will be a reunion soon! ❀

Some of the things I remembered seeing the photo:
1. I was sad or disappointed during the graduation. Even though I was the valedictorian, I didn’t had special awards like Best in Math or Science or Most Well Behaved. Haha! I was jealous with my other classmates.

2. Once, our teacher asked us to draw something for Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening. I drew sunrise for morning, a clock showing 12:00 for the afternoon and, moon and stars for evening. AND I GOT A ZERO SCORE!! I was really disappointed with my teacher. Haha! That’s what she thought us and she still gave me a zero! I can’t remember what I did to my paper, but I’m sure I didn’t threw it away eventhough I knew my mother would get mad at me for having such score. 😜😜

3. One of my classmates kept on saying to her cousin (who is also our classmate) that I was the one who broke her umbrella. But it wasn’t really me, it was the strong wind. Haha!

4. We would always walk a looooong way to reach our school and go back home. I think it’s (more or less) 3 kilometers. It was fun, though, because I was with my classmates. πŸ™‚

5. We weren’t allowed to go out of our classroom when we have a recess. But, one time, our teacher was away for a couple of minutes and we got out. It was all fun until one of my classmates told our teacher that we got out. Our teacher was very mad. Haha!

6. I cried on the first day of school. πŸ˜› I was seated next to Rhealyne. She was just quietly writing her name on her paper and Mama was like “Stop crying. Look at her (pointing to Rhealyne). She’s just quietly writing. I’ll just be outside the classroom, I’ll wait for you.” Haha!

7. Kimberly became my close friend. I used to liked her name because it was the same as one of the members of Power Rangers. I was also friends with April, Daryl and Ken.

8. I still thumb-suck when I was in Kindergarten. Haha! I only stopped when I reached Grade 3. My niece thumb-sucks now, I think she got that from me. πŸ˜€

9. Short hair with bangs used to be the trend. Haha!

10. I can still remember that I owned a yellow lunchbox with alphabets on it. ❀

That’s it, folks! Omg, I really had fun writing this post. 😍😍

How about you? What do you remember when you were still in Kindergarten?Β  πŸ™‚
