Five Ideas to Include in Your Book Review Journal Page + Supplies

  1. Book Information:
    • Title
    • Author
    • Publication Date
    • Genre
    • Number of Pages
  2. Summary:
    • Provide a brief summary or synopsis of the book. Highlight the main plot points without giving away spoilers (if you’re making the review in public).
  3. Personal Reflections:
    • Share your personal thoughts and feelings about the book. Discuss how it made you feel, if it resonated with you, or if it challenged your perspectives.
  4. Favorite Quotes:
    • Include quotes from the book that stood out to you. Explain why these quotes were impactful or memorable.
  5. Rating System:
    • Create a rating system (e.g., stars, emojis, numerical ratings) to easily convey your overall impression of the book. You can rate aspects like plot, characters, writing style, and overall enjoyment.

Here are five main supplies to get you started:

  • Journal or Notebook:
    • Choose a dedicated journal or notebook for your book reviews. Opt for one with ample space for writing, and consider the design that inspires you.
  • Quality Pens or Markers:
    • Invest in good quality pens or markers for writing your thoughts and annotations. Having different colors can help you categorize or emphasize specific aspects.
  • Sticky Notes or Tabs:
    • Use sticky notes or tabs to mark important pages or quotes in your books. This makes it easy to go back and reference specific passages when writing your reviews.
  • Highlighters:
    • Highlighters can be useful for emphasizing key points or passages in the book. This can aid in the review-writing process, helping you pinpoint what you want to discuss.
  • Stamps or Stickers:
    • Consider using stamps or stickers to add a creative touch to your reviews. You can use them to rate books, mark favorites, or add decorative elements to your journal pages.

Happy journaling! 🙂

Leuchtturm1917 journal flip through 🐬

Hi, friends! Here’s my April to September 2021 completed journal. Took me a while to finish this notebook because there were weeks that I didn’t journal at all. You’ll see in this video how inconsistent I am with my journal spreads designs. I still don’t know what my style is but one thing’s for sure – I love using colorful stickers, washi tapes, and memo sheets 😁

starting a new journal: Midori B6 Slim grid 🌷 + journal with me, first entry ✨

Hi, friends! For the first time, I’ll be using the Midori notebook in B6 slim grid. And I’ll show you how I designed the cover in this video. I’ve been using the notebook for a few days now and I’ve been loving it. The size is perfect for me. Though, I still have to buy a cover for it. There’s no way I would be able to keep the cover clean in the long run haha.
